Banner

By

Sometimes the world feels chaotic and cruel,
like something has shifted beneath our feet—
like we’re losing ground
and don’t know why.

We ask, Where are You?
We wonder if You’ve stepped back,
if we’ve been left to figure this out alone.

But in the distance—
we see a banner lifted high.

What looked like defeat
became our victory.
What felt like loss
became our hope.

Your body raised high
for all to look upon.
Your Name lifted up
for all to call upon.

Jesus, you are our banner—
the fixed point we find in battle,
the place we rally
again and again.

Jesus, you are our banner—
the covering we come under,
where we find belonging and victory.
